This photo was taken of my own hand, which I painted with watercolor paints and put silver glitter on the tips of my fingers. I wanted it to look more dirty and look like I had oil all over. I considered this as repulsive, because I cannot stand when my hands are dirty. I made the contrast more intense to help the darkest spots become darker and more attractive. I also burned some of the background to make the hand 'pop' more. I burned the creases of the hand as well to help make the detail more apparent.
